For many people the next few weeks are not times of tremendous joy, but deep anxiety.
As an entrepreneur, you may be frantically putting all the finishing touches on new offers to be launched in the new year, while also trying to fill your end of year sales, while simultaneously serving as many clients as you can fit in before the holiday season starts!
And you still have to juggle family responsibilities, holiday parties, and all your other daily responsibilities.
When you’re an entrepreneur, you don’t get to just turn off the light in your office at 5pm and call it quits for the day… And even if you can turn off the lights, it’s even harder to just ‘turn off your brain’ and stop thinking about work.
Now is a perfect time to practice self-care. For some of you, that seems a little counter-intuitive at this time of year. How will you find the time to take care of yourself with everything else that simply must get done?
Let’s start with the most basic… and most impactful form of self-care… and I promise you it won’t impact any of your time at all.
You can start by being kind to yourself in your thoughts. Practice eliminating all those “what was I thinking?” thoughts… and the “How could I be so stupid” thoughts… and don’t forget about the “I can’t believe I forgot that” thoughts as well.
There is a saying that goes, “You become like the 5 people you spend the most time with”.
Well – guess what? The number 1 voice you hear the most often is your own – it’s that little voice in your head…
There is no better time than today… right this very second… to recommit to being kind to yourself in your thoughts!
