Five years ago, I was a completely different person.. First of all, I wasn’t happy. Secondly, I had no idea how to change that. I had no idea how to pull myself out of that darkness and go after what I wanted in life.

It took many years to figure out why I was stuck. I’ve read every self-help books I could get my hands on.
But none of them gave me a systematic approach to understanding HOW to think properly to create an amazing life!

So, while I could write an entire book on each one of these 10 principles, (and I might!) it’s important that you first know what they are. There is a progressive level of understanding that is required to Reboot Your Brain and to sustain the transformation. In short, the order of these principles and their application is vitally important and will radically shift how you feel about your life!
So let’s dive in!
1. “You” are not your thoughts, feelings, emotions, judgments roles, or your experiences
Until “You” can consistently recognize that “You” are separate and distinct from what’s going on in your brain, you cannot Reboot your Brain, because you don’t know yet what you are trying to change – and ‘who’ has the power to make those changes. Let’s call all these thoughts, judgments, and emotions “Beliefs,. because your “Beliefs” are at the root all of those remaining thoughts, emotions, and judgments you are experiencing. Notice I didn’t call them “Truths” because they are not! They simply beliefs that you created and accepted as truths. Time to reboot that belief creating system into one that works in your favor.
You cannot always choose what happens in life, but only “You” can control how you respond to those events, and your Beliefs control that response. Become aware of “Your” abilities. You have the power to change your Beliefs – and therefore you can control how you respond to virtually every event. Once you understand this concept, you realize that you are wasting time pointing fingers, blaming and complaining. Not only does that NOT solve Your problem, it’s just a waste of emotional energy that is better spent elsewhere. Bummer, I know
3. The Beliefs that got you where you are now, cannot get you to where you want to go next
If “You” do not have what you want in life, or events are not giving you the experience in life you want, changing “Your” Beliefs is the first step to changing your outcomes… “Your” external life is an internal job.
4.Events have no inherent meaning (Beliefs). They have only the meaning (Belief) you give them
Events are nothing more than facts. And it is not the events that cause you heartache – it’s your emotional response to those events. This is a hard one to grasp – because many life events are terribly painful – loss of a loved one, abuse, pain, disease, etc. I struggled with this for a long time. This belief is different from the often quoted belief that “you are responsible for the events occurring” (which situationally may or may not be true). I’ll dive into this more in our full program but this principle alone can change your life forever.
5. You can change your future outcomes by changing the Beliefs you apply to current events.
The meanings you gave past events form most of your beliefs. Therefore, “Your” past only predicts “Your” future if you choose to apply the same meaning to current events.
6. Everything and every moment is an opportunity – if you choose to believe so
This is your only CHOICE-POINT. It is only by consciously choosing to apply a different meaning to an event.. every moment… that you have the ability to change how you experience that moment.. and what the eventual outcome from that event will be. This is what I mean when I say “You’re” greatness is born from your pain. It is only if you CHOOSE greatness, can that be true.
7. Only You can Reboot Your Brain
I can lead “Your” mind to knowledge, but I can’t make “You” think. You have to do the internal work and create your external reality. Only “You” can change your beliefs. Only “You” can choose the actions required to create your outcomes (within in the laws of physics, of course) ! I had to add that, because someone is going to tell me they want to defy the laws of gravity
8. There are only 2 ways to create a different outcome or experience
You have 2 ways – and only 2 ways – to create a different outcome or experience for each event. Your beliefs are programmed deep in your subconscious. Your beliefs run on auto-pilot, because that is the most energy-efficient way your brain works. To create change, You must either 1) reprogram the belief or 2) consciously choose to apply a different belief in the present moment
9. Your Choice-Point exists only in the present moment
The quickest way to change Your experience or Your outcome is to CHOOSE to apply a different Belief real-time as the events of Your life are unfolding in the present moment. This, however, is not the most energy efficient method. It takes most people a lot of mental discipline to stay in the present moment and always be mindful of what Beliefs you are applying. But trust me – you are narrating Your story to Yourself all day long, and that narration — that story — is 100% based on your Beliefs. This is time consuming and not energy efficient (emotionally speaking
10. To create long term change, you must Reboot Your Brain with better Programming
Beliefs are like mini-apps running on the smartphone of your brain. They run on auto-pilot, and you are not even aware that they are sucking down all your emotional battery, until you feel drained and defeated (been there, done that myself). To solve the problem permanently, you must learn reprogramming strategies.
I could write an entire book on each one of these 10 Concepts. While this seems easy to grasp in the logical mind, reprogramming and doing this consistently at the sub-conscious level – which is where “real” lasting change occurs, is another whole book on its own. There are many ways to Reboot Your Brain to create lasting change. Unfortunately, most of the techniques on the self-help shelf are not based on good sound brain science.
