I don’t know about you, but something about the holidays always brings up all my crap.
You know what crap I’m talking about… it’s the internal mind-chatter crap you don’t want to deal with.
And when that happens to me, I find myself in a state of “hyper-busyness”!
“Busyness” is my go-to strategy to avoid my crap!
There are 2 types of “Busy”… the 10 pounds of mud in a 5 pound bag type of busy…
And then there is the….
“OMG, I can’t get it all done. I’m PANICKING!” type of craziness… I call this “Busyness”.
I know that it ‘feels’ like you are busy when you are in this energy…
But you’re really not… The real energy is ‘panic’ or ‘fear’…
And that fear is being masked as ‘busyness”.
Busyness is YOUR EXCUSE to avoid your more uncomfortable emotions!
So… how can you tell the difference? Easy!
Stop for a moment… go internal… and ask yourself, “What am I avoiding right now?”… Or “What is it that I don’t want to acknowledge right now?”
Chances are, if you’re in a state of “Busyness”, you’re going to get a quick intuitive hit.
Yeah… that one… that one feeling that you don’t want to acknowledge…
That’s the one you have to pay attention to.
That feeling – usually guilt, embarrassment, or shame… that’s the feeling you need to acknowledge and transmute in order to get out of the state of busyness and back into flow!
Once you acknowledge that emotion you are hiding from, you can release it and get back into flow.
