Why is it that some people step off the well worn rut in their life and are willing to forgo safety and comfort in order to start a business… take on a mission… or risk all they have or are to create something big and bold in their life?
And why is it that so many of us talk about ‘someday’… but never take action?
I believe the answer lies in the intersection of Courage and Conviction.
It takes Conviction… deep in your heart and soul… to know you can truly make a difference for others.
It takes Conviction… deep in your gut… to know you can take a risk and be successful!
And it takes Conviction… deep in your intuition… to know that you will find the support you need along your journey.
Without conviction, you won’t ever take that first step.
It also takes Courage.
Without courage… you won’t make that first leap into the vast unknown called ‘the road less traveled’.
Without courage… you won’t stay the course when the road seems steep or rocky.
And without courage… you won’t ask for or seek help to help you take that next step.
Each of us has a burning desire in us to make a difference in the world. It’s part of Self-Actualization in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
If you want a full, rich and rewarding life, then I encourage you to listen a little harder to that inner voice pushing you to do more… be more… and take stock of your Convictions… and the Courage you are brining to your life.
I don’t promise that the journey will be easy or effortless… but I can say without a doubt that the road less traveled is rich and rewarding in ways that I could never of dreamed of… even in my wildest imagination.
Won’t you take a moment and share your story in the comments below? You could be the encouragement that the next person needs to summon their Courage and take their very first step!
